Description

The Optica Foundation is seeking a catalytic early-career professional to help us realize our fundraising goals. Working with the Deputy Senior Director of Development and Fundraising, this position coordinates cultivation activities and events; helps build relationships with individual and corporate donors; tracks and facilitates funder communications and helps implement fundraising campaigns.

Requires an organized, driven, energetic and detailed-minded individual.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (not necessarily in priority order)

  1. Work directly with the development team to manage project workflow and oversee the day-to-day milestones for projects.
  2. Assist in accomplishing fundraising goals and provide tactical and administrative support to achieve and surpass these goals.
  3. Track and manage reports on current and potential donors, providing regular updates on fundraising status across various campaigns.
  4. Ensure all pledges are invoiced correctly and payments are received as stated in agreements.
  5. Assist with marketing to promote foundation programs and fundraising via print, email and social media channels.
    • Efforts include but are not limited to the production and mailing of weekly thank you letters and calls, quarterly letters to donors, quarterly emails on foundation activities, campaigns for the annual fund and others as needed.
  6. Work closely with the corporate communications team to establish communication plans for fundraising and marketing events and programs
  7. Assist in developing cultivation opportunities by scheduling calls, meetings and travel for Optica executives and foundation board members.
  8. Research and identify prospective new donors and their interests
  9. Coordinate logistics of fundraising events and activities as directed.
  10. Work directly with program managers to collect impact data, stories, quotes/testimonials for future marketing and annual report.
  11. Provide general administrative support for the foundation team.

  10. Possess a strong customer service orientation, problem-solver demeanor, and positive attitude.
  11. Can learn and adapt quickly to new directives opportunities.
  12. Have proficiency in Microsoft office/Windows, database applications (Experience with netFORUM preferred).
  13. Can multi-task due to excellent organizational skills.
  14. Believe you have excellent interpersonal skills and are effective working in a team environment.
  15. Enjoy working as part of a team to deliver results.
